|ALLI ALLI OUT IS FREE|
Have you seen this? Even with all the bizarre aspects of what I see every day, this is 'out there'. Alli, the first FDA-sanctioned diet drug to be sold without a prescription, is selling in large numbers. This is despite the fact that the drug can produce extremely embarrassing and unpleasant side effects.
This GlaxoSmithKline drug was first introduced to the market several years ago in a prescription-only form called Xenical. It blocks the absorption of about 25% of the fat that is eaten. If your diet is 3,000 calories per day, Alli will eliminate about 225 calories of your consumption. GlaxoSmithKline expects to sell Alli to 5 million to 6 million Americans each year.
What are the potential side effects? Using Alli can result in loose stools, gas, and an oily discharge from the anus. GlaxoSmithKline suggestion--"It's probably a smart idea to wear dark pants, and bring a change of clothes with you to work," if you take the drug.
My suggestion? Don't waste your money on this drug. By blocking fat you will lose nutrients your body needs to be healthy-not a smart thing to do. Why not try consuming 25% less fried, hydrogenated, or trans fats? You will incur health benefits and not have to worry about having an 'accident'.
