|33-50% OR MORE CANCERS PREVENTABLE|
Many common adult cancers are preventable in the United States according to The World Cancer Research Fund (WCRF) and its sister organization, the American Institute for Cancer Research (AICR). They estimate that in the U.S. eating a nutritious diet, being physically active, and keeping body fat under control may prevent:
70% of endometrial cancers
38% of breast cancers
11% of prostate cancers
45% of colorectal cancers
15% of liver cancers
47% of stomach cancers
36% of lung cancers
39% of pancreatic cancers
69% of esophageal cancers
63% of cancers of the mouth, pharynx, or larynx
24% of kidney cancers
21% of gallbladder cancers
In 2005, cancer became the #1 killer of Americans causing about 560,000 deaths in the United States each year.
The interesting aspect here is that, they didn't consider Vitamin D. With what we've learned over the last several years about Vitamin D, probably half of cancers would be gone if vitamin D levels were optimized.
