THEY'VE GOT TO BE JOKING

In April we will have yet another worthless so-called "vitamin enriched beverage" from a soda company. Diet Coke Plus will be released by Coco-Cola as a "good source of vitamins B3, B6, B12, and the minerals zinc and magnesium." NOT!!

This is just wrong on so many levels. First and foremost, a good source of vitamins and minerals would be a vegetable or a fruit, not a soft drink. Second, according to a 1997 International Journal of Obesity study, people who consumed aspartame one day, ended up consuming more calories the next day-you won't lose weight. Third, 'healthy soft drink' is an oxymoron.

Don't fall for pretty pictures or advertising slogans. Ignore this product when it is released. Let your pocketbook do the talking.
Int J Obesity, 21:37-42, 1997
